About Us
The House of Praise, a ministry of the Deliverance church in Kenya, was established in February 1998. Its foundation was initiated by a few residents of Kahawa Sukari, who were attending Deliverance Church Kasarani at the time. The church was planted under the leadership of Bishop Jimmy Kimani who was then and still is the senior pastor of Deliverance Church Kasarani. The church has grown tremendously since then and it has been a place of restoration and transformation to the members. The church has membership from Kahawa Sukari estate and its surrounding neighborhoods namely Kahawa Wendani, Githurai Kimbo, Membley, Kasarani, Kahawa Barracks, Kenyatta University and Mwihoko estates. The House of Praise church ministers to the whole person and it does this by having group meetings besides the Sunday worship service where the members are educated on various aspects like entrepreneurship, investments, civic responsibility issues like the constitution, and other life-skills like counseling.
Location
The House of Praise church is located at the centre of Kahawa Sukari estate, about 2 km from Thika Super Highway (A2), making it accessible to its members. The church is under the leadership of Rev. Dr Peterson Wang’ombe, and the local church council that supports the Pastor.
Well, that’s a VERY open question because there are certainly a lot of specifics to think
about.
